Traditional Bubble Tea: Original Pearl Milk Tea
(16 oz serving)

Use brewed Taiwanese Red Tea or brewed Taiwanese Jasmine Green Tea for this recipe. (See Brewing Tea section.)

Fill the Stainless Steel Cocktail Shaker Cup with 1 to 2 cups cubed ice. (Basically, fill the shaker cup until about 80% to 90% full of ice).

Add 4 tbsp. Refined Creamer Powder and 2 ounces Sugar Syrup.

Pour 1 cup of brewed Tea into the Shaker Cup. Fresh, hot, strong tea works best.

(If making Jasmine Pearl Milk Tea, use White Sugar Syrup if possible, to avoid overwhelming the Jasmine Green Tea Flavor.)

Close the Shaker Cup, making sure all three parts are secure. Shake vigorously for at least 12 seconds.

Scoop desired amount of Tapioca Pearls and/or Coconut Jelly and/or Choobees into your serving cup. Pour the shaken milk tea over them. Enjoy!

On Saturday Ash and I went to go visit my sister in Irvine. We went to Kerah Sushi which is a revolving sushi restaurant. It's PIMP. You sit there and sushi just comes around to you and you take the one you want. Additionally the sushi is really cheap so you can get full for very little money. We had a great time and it was good to see the sis.

PMA - Florida

PMA was held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando Florida. It was a pretty big conference with a lot of big names. Was definitely a good time with A LOT of talking. I must have repeated the same 5 min speach about picasa 10 billion times. A good learning experience but very exhausting.

Ash came with me Sat-Tuesday so it was nice having her around. We went to see a horse show called Arabian Nights. We got discount tickets, so it was really good value for the money.

One of the last nights Ash was there we all went to a really nice Italian restaurant. The bill ended up being over $500! but Google paid :) The dishes that Ash and I had were definitely NOT worth the money, we had a better meal at Olive Garden the next day. It was still nice hanging out with the whole team. Conference went really well and overall REALLY good response to the product. WooHOO!

I know it's been a long time but i've been really busy. I went to Florida for the PMA (Photo Marketing Association) conference last week and it was great! Picasa 2 won DIMA's most Inovative Product Award for the 3rd year in a row. Google is very very proud of our accomplishments and we are glad to be a part of them.

Initially This trip was supposed to be a work/vacation trip. I was supposed to take Thursday and Friday off and spend it in Florida with Ashley, but we missed our flight due to really not leaving for the airport early enough! It really sucked but we made the most out of it.

We decided to go and visit the "VO" In Santa Barbara. It's always nice to see him and we hadn't in a really long time. We had a few Dinners together and went to see Hitch (great film). Ashley's cousin met up with us on Friday night which was cool.

I'm gonna go for a walk this morning but i'll post all about the conference when I return. Peace guys, hope everything is well.

Ok, so yes i will update on what's been going on, but FIRST i must vent a bit. So we spend billions of dollars in Iraq fighting this war to apparently "free" the Iraqi people and give them better lives. BUT when a natural disaster comes and wipes out 50 thousand people in Asia we spare 15 million dollars? um... excuse me? Wait let me get this straight. The most powerful nation in the WORLD can only spare 15 million for one of the largest natural disasters in history. I guess there isn't any fiscal benefit to aiding those foreign nations.

Things have been super busy at work because we are on deadline, but everything remains fun. This weekend I got the chance to go to Cynthia's Christmas party. It was a lot of fun and i wanted to take her dog home (see below). Saturday I saw Ocean's 12 with Ash, Danny, and Cammy. I really had a good time. Sunday we had our Holiday Extravaganza at Church, it turned out to be a huge success! I love this time of year :)

Ahh, we all have so much to be thankful for, I for one am blessed to have such a wonderful, supportive family and a close knit group of friends who I know would do anything for me. It's so easy to take things for granted sometimes, especially with how routine life can get, but I'm glad we have days like this to really think about what we have. For some people it's just a day off, but for me I really try and stop "bitching" cause everything isn't perfect and think about the things I am fortunate enough to have.

On that note, all of you that know me know that I don't agree with this war at all, but that doesn't mean i don't respect and honor the troops that go over there to fight it. Right or wrong war, they are putting their life on the line and going through things I couldn't even imagine. Saturday I have the opportunity to attend a memorial service of a young marine (19) that was killed in Fallujuah. My heart breaks for the family and to all the other families that have lost their children, It makes me want to put a gun in Bush's hands and tell him to fight his own war, but what's done is done. This service is open to the public, and I'm going with my sister and Ash to pay respects. If any of you are interested in coming contact me and we can ride together or figure out a way to get there. It's in Chino.

That aside, I hope you all have a wonderful thanksgiving! I'm going to stuff myself with turkey then probably take a nap. Friday will be a day of shopping ... who's coming with me?

My sister said she got frustrated after 2 hours of trying to figure it out. that's right 2 HOURS! how is that possible. My Taxi Driver this morning looked something like this .. Kind of like a descendant of Osama Bin Laden.

This morning I called a cab, I usually use the same cab driver I know but was in a rush today and didn't have the time to wait for him. So I had a gentlemen who looked very much like the picture above. Except a lot more gray hairs in his beard. First of all he was pissed cause I took too long to come out of my room. Dispatch told me 15 min, I came out in literally 3 and he was already there searching the lobby for me. Business a little slow there buddy? Anyways I get in the cab with him. He immediately asks me when i'm heading back to the air port (obviously so he can get my business). It was very hard to understand him because his accent was so thick, but i picked it up and told him. Well the cab ride to Google from there was interesting. I LITERALLY couldn't understand a word he was saying and he was getting mad cause i couldn't.

Went to Sasha Saturday Night, had an Awesome time! So besides the insane music, I witnessed something I had NEVER seen before. It was so weird that I just started laughing.

Weird Asian guy

This weird Asian guy (see candid pic above) was doing this weird elfish dance (that is the only way i can really describe it) towards this one girl. The girl plays the normal "oh my God, scary guy get away from me routine" and dances toward the guy friend she has with her and whispers "help me please". So he grabs a hold of her and starts dancing close. NORMALLY speaking the Asian guy would back away, but NO. this guy kept going at it even with the other guy holding her. Okay so at this point the couple start dancing in a circle to avoid this character. So here is the really weird part. The asian guy finally kind of gives up and starts dancing away, so the girl eases of her male friend. THEN the asian guy comes back and starts trying to elf dance with the girl's GUY friend. He was absolutely clueless and i was on the floor. OK i'm done i just thought i'd share that. Hope all of you had a great weekend.

I haven't done an update in a while so here goes.

So I got a haircut and I told the woman I didn't want it too short, So does she listen? No. Somehow I guess she thought I meant "AS SHORT AS POSSIBLE". I guess when you go through training at Supercuts they teach you how to do exactly opposite of what the customer asks for all the time. Work is going pretty well, Roberto and I just finished up a project and met our deadline. It's looking really nice and I can't wait till it gets released out into the world. I love my job, and the food is very nice =] Car is good, although it isn't fun when you pay lots of money to get it cleaned and then it rains literally HOURS afterwards :) I've gone out to Monday Night Social for the past three weeks, it's been a lot of fun cause Leah has been coming out, it's always good to see her.

Note: I'm about to attempt to get philosophical, if you don't want to think, then stop reading here.

Finally i've just been doing a lot of introspection. We are faced with all these challenges and choices and it's so hard to know the decisions we should make. For example, Love. Big topic right? I guess it comes down to the question "Is Love Enough?" Sometimes I don't think it is, unless it's unconditional, but we as humans have all sorts of conditions we place on people. Expectations that limit our love for them. If you really look at love or any relationship, the individual is "in love" with their partner's ability to satisfy that individual's desires. It sounds so selfish but ultimately is true. It seems as though sometimes you can replace "I Love You" with "I Trade You". You do this for me, and i'll do this for you. A huge part of me wants to disregard this way of thought, but I can't ignore it.
